THAT ONCE AND FOR ALL WITHOUT HAVING TO BUT A NEW BASKET SO I PICKED THIS UP FROM BED BATH AND BEYOND IT’S JOSEPH JOSEPH SET
OF 3 CHOPPING MATS SO IT’S VERY THIN UM CUTTING BOARD FLEXIBLE YOU NEED SOME THAT’S FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO BE CUT BY A PAIR OF SCISSORS RIGHT THERE ANOTHER THING YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT IT’S DISHWATER SAFE SO WHATEVER CUTTING BOARD YOU GET CUTTING MAT MAKE SURE IT’S DISHWASHER SAFE THAT WAY IT CAN ACTUALLY GO THROUGH THE DISHWASHER I’LL PUT A LINK TO THESE CHOPPING MATS IN
THE DESCRIPTION BELOW WHERE YOU CAN FIND THEM
AT BED BATH AND BEYOND SO THE NEXT THING YOU NEED TO DO IS GO AHEAD AND DROP OUT ALL YOUR SILVERWARE CAUSE AFTER AWHILE FOR WHATEVER REASON YOU GET LITTLE HOLES INSIDE YOUR BOTTOM OF YOUR BASKET IT LETS THE FORKS KNIVES AND SPOONS DROP THROUGH MEASURE YOUR SPECIFIC BASKET MEASURE TWICE CUT ONCE CUT BIG YOU CAN ALWAYS TRIM DOWN 2 AND A QUARTER BY 3 AND 3/8THS SO I’LL REPEAT THE PROCESS FOR ALL 3 REMAINING MEASURE HERE WITH THE TAPE MEASURE TRANSFER THE MARKINGS AND THEN CUT IT OUT ALRIGHT I FINISHED 3 OUT OF 4 AS YOU CAN SEE I DRILLED HOLES IN THE BOTTOM OF THE OF THE MAT CUTTING MAT I HAVE ONE LEFT TO GO I’VE TRANSFERRED MY MARKS ONTO THIS PART RIGHT HERE CHECK FOR FITMENT IF SOME OF DOES NOT MATCH UP GO AHEAD CUT A LITTLE MORE I HAD TO GO GET A PAIR OF TIN SNIPS TO ACTUALLY CUT THIS PLASTIC THEN GO BACK AND FORTH CHECKING FOR PLACEMENT FIT AND FINISH LIKE I SAID EARLIER IT’S BETTER TO GO BIG

  2. Thanks for the idea! I just used the lids off of sour cream or what ever containers I empty with flat lids! Then use a paper punch to punch holes 😀 Cost $0.00

  3. I used pieces of welded stainless steel mesh, cut from an air brick cover that I bought on Ebay. I cut the pieces about an inch bigger than required and bent the edges upwards to make small baskets. We tried solid pieces of plastic with the previous dishwasher, but they would sometimes tip up into the holes underneath. Because of the upstand on the wire baskets, they don’t do that.
